Kids day at the Y
Kid's day at the Y is hosted annually by the YMCA and sponsored by The Shelby Foundation on President's Day. This event was designed to provide the youth of Shelby with a positive and safe environment during a day off school. They have the opportunity to participate in open swim, open gym, crafts, and movie time. This event is free and open to all kindergarten - 8th graders.

A carnival style event with games, prizes, and candy. Come get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny and have an experience you will never forget. Healthy Kid's Day
A day created by Y-USA for children to kick off their summer with healthy habits. This program was designed to help give kids a healthy option and to educate them on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to start their break.

Our dance program hosts a three-day performance at the Shelby High School P.A.C. to cap off a wonderful year of dance. The performers will show off their dancing talents to the public.

Run to Remember
The Run to Remember is a special event to help honor the memories of our country’s fallen heroes or any special person you would like to honor by participating on the Memorial Day holiday. Ohio Health and the Shelby YMCA are partnering to bring you the best race day experience possible. You can run or walk while participating in any of the three events. The three events offered at the Run to Remember are the 10k, the 5k, or the Fun Run. The fun run is a 1/4 mile obstacle course designed for kids.

Summer Days at the Y
Join us for this new series of events for K-8th graders. Summer days at the Y will be on June 20th, July 11th, and August 15th. Join us from 11am-2pm for open gym, open swim, games, contests, lunch, and lots of fun! No pre-registration required.
Join us at the Shelby YMCA on June 22, 2019 at 10am for a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to benefit the Lukes Houser Family. Teams will be limited to 3 players each and the cost is $60 per team, which includes registration and a t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age division. We will also have a 50/50 raffle and concessions. Please join us for this wonderful event in support of Lukes’ Family!
Triathlon / Duathlon
Our annual Triathlon is a competitive event where racers will compete in three areas. It is a 500 meter swim, a 12 mile bike ride, and a 3.4 mile run. The Duathlon is a 1 mile run, a 12 mile bike, followed by a 3.4 mile run. This event is designed to test your spirit, mind, and body through vigorous activity.

Trunk or Treat
Come to our annual spooktacular event to celebrate Halloween. A safe and fun family environment to come together and stuff your belly full of candy! We ask local businesses and families to open their trunks and decorate them in our parking lot for a chance at the grand prize. Participants will then circle the pavement and gather as much candy as possible to satisfy their sweet tooth. Vendors can register HERE

John Gurney Turkey Trot
Our annual Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot is held in honor of John Gurney. John Gurney left a tremendous impact on the Shelby Community with his generous spirit of giving. What started as a morning run with a few friends has become a community run inspired to donate cereal boxes to the Shelby helpline. The run starts at the Shelby YMCA where you can drop off your cereal box donation and start your run. There is NO registration fee or process, just show up and enjoy the morning before the afternoon feast!

Breakfast with Santa
Our BRAND NEW Christmas event for ages 2-10 years old is HERE!!! We are so excited to bring the Shelby community a family friendly and safe environment to see Santa Clause and celebrate the gift of Jesus. We will have a variety of Christmas themed activities such as Story time, Crafts, Coloring, Photo Booth, Letters to Santa, AND a DONUT breakfast!
